Lara is now 8 days overdue.  Not much that can be done but wait around and get frustrated.  The later is more poor Lara’s feeling. We have been eating a hell a lot of curry

In fact I am pretty sick of the stuff, the novelty has been lost!

Lara is now on maternity leave.  She keep herself busy whilst I go to work.  thankfully Lainie is still on maternity leave and will remain that way for a good while yet so Lara has a play mate and coffee buddy!  Yesterday we went for a walk along the beach and went past a children’s play ground.  Lara is motivated to try anything to help the baby think it is time to come out…….

So we spent a good ten minutes on the See saw!  Lara is booked into the local maternity ward for 10am on Friday for her to be induced if the baby decides it wants to still not come out to play.  This is not how we wanted to go, but we are never the end decision maker in this.  We have to go with what the baby wants as there is no real way to influence it.

I have already told it through the belly this morning that I was not happy with it and it is grounded for the first 2 weeks of it’s life on earth and that tardiness is not a trate we will stand for.  I can just see images of it in the womb giving me the birdie.

Will keep this blog updated as to as and when it happens.  But at least the end is in sight now, I can pretty confidently say that I will be a dad in 6 days time.  Thank you all for your messages of good luck, i am going to need them, Lara on the other hand I think will be fine.  Lara has told me she thinks I am going to be a blubbering mess.  I was offended to learn she thinks that of me.
