Surrey 8th to 15th April 2011

Dave was heading to Cham for crazy ski school so I decided to spend a week catching up with family and old buddies in Surrey.

Ellis was once agaiun an angel on the plane and Dad AKA Grumpsy collected us from the airport. Dad, Ellis and I went out for dinner on Friday in Reigate while mum caught up with some old casino chums in London.

Saturday was spent with the old gang (Nick, Fi, Russ, Dawn and Richard were missed!). Adam showed off his talents as The Pacifier as can be seen by the picture of him with Kaitlyn and Ellis! We descended upon the Kingswood Arms en masse with 17 including offspring of varying ages!

I think this is known as tandem dribbling leopard stance!

Sunday morning was church time for the first time with Ellis so Mama could introduce her grand daughter. Natalie and Chester returned from Tignes that afternoon and Bruce and Christine stopped by so we made the most of the weather and had a BBQ.  Later on that evening Dawn and Richard stopped by to meet the baby – Thanks guys for the bubbly!

Monday we went with Natalie and Chester to Winchester where we visited the Cathedral and Chester demonstrated his cultural knowledge!

Ellis seemed to be suffering from all the activity so Tuesday was spent doing nothing!!

Wesnesday was swim day with Ellis and Granny, followed by pedicure for me (thank you for the treat mama!) and then lunch. Back at home after that to receive some of mama’s friwnds to introduce them to Ellis. All in all a very enjoyable day.

Thursday was spent visiting Alex, Isabella, Sophie and Maggie. Alex and I share a birthday and have known each other ever since. Isabella is her oldest daughter who will be three in July and Sophie was 10 days old when we met up so very close in age to Ellis. Got lots of photos with Jason’s camera and mama’s but forgot mine!! Mama and I then headed out to Hampshire to met up with Natalie for dinner and to say farewell! I have pinched some from Jason…

Back at home now in relax mode for a bit!

Family Visit

Ellis flew down to Norwich last weekend as it was a bit of a family get together so they could meet the little ankle muncher.  She was really well behaved on the aeroplane and was sound asleep all the way apart from when she was feeding on take off.

we had a lovely weekend in Norwich catching up with old family and friends and them meeting Ellis.  Below is a four generation picture of the Smiths, with Great Grandpa Bill, Grandpops,  Ellis and I!

Everyone keeps on telling us that Ellis really looks like me, I really hope that is not true and she ends up with her mothers’ looks for her sake.  But I found something that might set the record straight – what do you think?  (obviously the picture on the right of her is me as a baby, click on the picture and it will get bigger, as will they all.)
